Rock The Bells

7 September 2013 No Comment

Rock the Bells Festival kicks off this weekend in San Bernadino, California or it’s 10th anniversary celebration. Now brace yourself, the headliners are listed below but its the special guests are what blew us away. Appearing for the first time at the festival will be the late Eazy-E of N.W.A. AND making his second appearance at the festival is the late MC Ol’ Dirty Bastard! Both artists will appear as holograms with Eazy performing alongside protégés Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, while Ol’ Dirty will join the reunited
Wu Clan for the first time since his death nearly a decade ago.

Apparently the holograms were approved by Eazy’s wife, Tomica Wright and ODB’s mother, Cherry Jones. This should not come as a surprise to most as this does come two years after the virtual resurrection of Tupac’s holographic performances at Coachella last year.

The rest of the lineup for the show includes: Big Krit, Black Hippy, Bodega Bamz, Brother Ali, Chase and Status, Curren$y, Danny Brown, Dilated Peoples, Dizzy Wright, Dom Kenney, E-40 and Too Short, Earl Sweatshirt, Flatbush Zombies, Hit-Boy, Hopsin, Immortal Technique, Jhene Aiko, Juicy J, Jurassic 5, Lecrae, Mimosa, Prof, Show Tha Product, Supernatural, Talib Kweli and Tech N9ne.

The shows will take place at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California, on September 7-8, Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California, on September 14-15, Festival Grounds @ RFK in Washington, D.C., on September 28-29 and Meadowlands Racetrack in Rutherford, New Jersey, on October 4-5.
