Lamb of God - Resolution
Lamb of God will kick off their U.S. headlining tour this Friday, January 15th, with a show at Stage AE in Pittsburgh. The twenty-date North American tour will run through February 12th, winding down at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. The Richmond, Virginia metal legends are touring in support of their seventh studio album, VII: Sturm und Drang, which was released on July 24th. Their latest effort, unsurprisingly, has been received positively by both fans and critics. VII: Sturm und Drang is Lamb of God’s fourth album to sit in the top ten of Billboard’s Top 200 Album chart, ranking as high as #3 within weeks of its release.

lambofgodtour2016Lamb of God will be supported in each city not only by New York thrash pioneers Anthrax, but also relative newcomers in San Francisco’s Deafheaven and Power Trip out of Dallas.

With the release of their first studio album in 1984, Anthrax has been a perpetual force in metal for over thirty years. Their eleventh studio album, For All Kings, will be released towards the end of February, all but insuring that new material will be played during this current tour.

Making a name for themselves with 2013’s critically-acclaimed Sunbather, Deafheaven released their third studio album, New Bermuda, in October, boasting the same eclectic fusion of black metal, post-rock and shoegaze influences that made Sunbather one of the most discussed metal albums of the last few years.

Armed with a crossover thrash style, Power Trip, self-described as “Steel, Speed, and Destruction”, released their first studio album, Manifest Decimation, in 2013. The band is currently in the process of releasing a follow-up to the 2013 debut.
